ESS hours
6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Over summer and non-school days, hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
LATE PICK UPS
We understand that situations may arise causing delays. However, it is crucial to be
punctual. If you anticipate being delayed, contact ESS as soon as possible and arrange for an
authorized person to pick up your child before closing.
If a child is not picked up within one hour after the program closes and a parent or
emergency contact cannot be reached, ESS staff will call School Resource Officers to take
custody of the child until a parent or emergency contact arrives.
If you are delayed past closing time, a late fee per child will be charged to your account and
will be due with your next regular tuition statement.
Four late pick-up occurrences will result in a two-day temporary pause in program services
for your child. ESS services will be discontinued after six late pick-ups per year (August to
July).
DISTRICT RECESS/BREAK RATE
Check the fee schedule for rates. Registration for all breaks and recesses is for the entire recess or break (no single days).
SIGNING IN & OUT
Students must be signed in and out of ESS daily. Only an authorized person with a picture I.D. can sign a child out of ESS. Your child is expected at ESS each day. Please notify us whenever your child WILL NOT attend ESS on any given day.
ILLNESS & MEDICATION
If your child is not feeling well, please do not send him/her to ESS. Students who have been ill must be well, and fever free, before returning to ESS or school. If your child becomes ill or suspected to be contagious, you will be notified to pick him/her up promptly. It is very important that you keep us updated on changes in work, home, cell, and emergency phone numbers.
ESS will administer medication (prescription or non-prescription) to students only if a PUSD Authorization for Medical Administration Form has been completed by a physician and parent. All medication must be in the original container. Sunscreen, chap stick and non-medicated cough drops need only the parent's portion of the form filled in and signed.
