Principal's Message

I’m incredibly honored to serve as your new principal and begin this journey together alongside our amazing students, committed staff, and supportive families. This school year is sure to bring creative exploration,  fresh experiences, meaningful learning, and joyful connections for every student. Our team has been hard at work planning engaging and meaningful opportunities, and I can’t wait to see the incredible things we’ll accomplish together.

At the heart of a thriving school is a community where each student and family feels a sense of belonging and is valued. When our learning environment reflects the unique cultures, identities, and interests of each student, we create a place where all can flourish. I invite you to be part of that effort, whether by stopping to chat at drop-off, swinging by my office, or volunteering in the classroom or at school events through the Del Sur Foundation. Your insight helps shape our Explorers’ experience, and together we can make this year exceptional for every student and family.

Families play a critical role in their students' success, and we want to ensure you have the information you need to support your student(s). You will receive weekly messages, The Explorer Informer, on Friday evenings to keep you informed about what is happening at school. You can also check the Del Sur Website for real-time announcements and an up-to-date calendar of events.

I encourage you to take a moment to review the DSES Parent Handbook before the first day of school.  In addition to the contents of the handbook, I hope that the information included below will answer any outstanding questions and support your student’s smooth transition back to school.   If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
