Please take a moment to familiarize yourself and your student(s) with the DSES Pick-Up Table Policy
In an effort to be respectful of our host school and consistent with their established procedures, Del Sur will be adopting Stone Ranch's "No Rescue Policy" beginning October 1, 2026. After this date, we will not be able to accept forgotten items brought to school during the day, including water bottles, lunches, instruments, jackets, homework, or other personal belongings.
Please know that students will continue to have access to water throughout the day, and school meals are available at no cost. As a result, no student will go hungry or thirsty during the school day. Of course, exceptions will be made for medically necessary items, such as glasses, hearing aids, medications, and other essential health-related needs.
We recognize that this is a change from the procedures we have followed at Del Sur in the past, including the use of our pickup table. However, because we are currently sharing space on the Stone Ranch campus, we are unable to provide that same accommodation. It is important to us that we remain respectful of the policies and practices already in place at our host school.
Over the next few weeks, we encourage families to help students establish routines that support remembering essential items before leaving home. Simple habits, such as packing backpacks the night before and using a morning checklist, can help minimize forgotten items.
